These are charges billed directly by Occidental, such as tuition, fees, and on-campus housing and meals.
The on-campus housing and meal plan estimates are based on an average of students living on campus. Your cost may differ depending upon which room type and meal plan you select.
*Note: Students who live off campus or with a parent are not charged for housing and food. This amount reflects the lower cost of living off-campus or with a parent. The food component of the off-campus and with parent budgets cannot be increased to include the cost of an on-campus meal plan.
These are estimated out-of-pocket expenses not billed by the College, such as books, supplies, personal expenses, and travel. They vary by student and are included in your financial aid budget to give a fuller picture of total college costs.
All students must have health insurance to enroll at Occidental.
The Occidental Student Health Insurance Program (OSHIP) premium for the 2025–26 academic year is $3,818. You may waive this charge if you're already covered under an equivalent parent’s or guardian’s plan. However, non–U.S. citizens are required to enroll in OSHIP.
